SAFP has a ten month support from UNIFEM to develop gender advocates for gaining resource rights from the government. Contact safp.sb@gmail.com to get a copy of the proposal to develop your own process in your ward.
SAFP is partnering with NGOs to create resource equality for women in 3 wards. The partnership involves facilitation of partner staff by SAFP for the following work.
- Report on resource mapping of a ward including provisions of the schemes that are applicable for area development of the ward or the district.
- List excluded women group (30 women) with their skills, needs and rights to access appropriate government programmes.
- Identify gender advocates in the neighborhood / government/ community leadership/ or political party such that the excluded women group get support
- Deliver a neighborhood service around the place of habitation of excluded women group such that claim on public spaces and budgets from SSS can be made
- Draft proposals for the women for attention of resource agencies.
Outcome that this partnership will work for:- Submit a the proposal to district authority
